Enrichment Workshop

Craft-loving individuals will enjoy this hands-on workshop making enrichment for our Zoo animals. Learn all about the different kinds of enrichment we use to engage our animals’ minds at Brandywine Zoo, help us craft and create new items, and see some of your hard work given out around the Zoo! You’ll also be able to make some awesome enrichment to bring back to your pets at home! This month's animal: Red Pandas! Biomimicry STEM Day for Schools

Rain Date: Wednesday, 6/6/2018 Engineers and scientists have been taking inspiration from Mother Nature for hundreds of years to design incredible new technologies. Biomimicry STEM Day discusses how nature inspires our engineers and scientists! Explore the world of Science, Engineering, Technology and Math and learn how biomimicry goes from inspiration to application! How does the structure of hair help us to build bridges? How do birds and airplane fly high in the sky? Stop by various STEM activity stations set up throughout the Zoo to learn and do hands-on activities. Fee: Free with Zoo admission, but please pre-register your group. Live animal program is an additional $2/person-Groups must be pre-registered to reserve space in the live animal shows. Career & Animal Science Workshop: Exotic Animal Nutrition

Endangered Species Day for Schools

Endangered Species Day encourages people of all ages to learn about the importance of protecting endangered plants and animals and what actions can be taken to help preserve the future of these species here in Delaware and beyond. Visit various learning stations set up throughout the Zoo to learn what you can do to End Extinction!
 
Fee: Free with Zoo admission, but please pre-register your group. Live animal program is an additional $2/person-Groups must be pre-registered to reserve space in the live animal shows.

Star Wars Day
  • DATE: Saturday, May 19, 2018
  • TIME: 12 p.m.

May the Force be with you!  Bring your  camera, as the Empire invades the Brandywine Zoo today!  Meet some of your favorite Star Wars characters and even take photos with them!  It's free to take photos with the characters but donations are encouraged.  All donations will benefit the Delaware Zoological Society.

<b>Fee:</b> Pre-sale tickets, $8/person (ages 3+), will be available online until April 30 or until they sell out.  DZS Members free.

Breakfast with the Empire
  • DATE: Saturday, May 19, 2018
  • TIME: 9:30 a.m.

Join us for an exclusive breakfast at the zoo before our zoo-wide public photo event!  Have breakfast with some of your favorite characters and take photos with them in the zoo before it opens to the public.

<b>Fee:</b> $20 per person (no member discount for this event).  Early registration for Delaware Zoological Society Members through April 13.  Public Reservations accepted April 14-May 12.
Reservations required, as limited spaces will be sold.
