How to Register

To register, download a registration packet (available soon) and complete the form. Return by mail, e-mail, or drop it off at the Baldcypress Nature Center with payment.

Walk-In Location
Drop off registration form at the Baldcypress Nature Center at the park, Wednesday- Sunday between 10a.m. and 4 p.m.

Payment/Balance Due June 21, 2014

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing 30 days before the start of camp in order to receive a refund. Cancellations or rescheduling will be subject to a $30 administrative fee.

Trap Pond Explorers

Session:
Monday, July 06, 2015 to Friday, July 10, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 6 to 10
Cost: $150 per camper

About the Program: Explore our native wildlife habitats and ecosystems and discover the outdoors. Activities include fishing, boating, orienteering, survival skills and more.


Fabulous Fishing

Session:
Monday, July 13, 2015 to Friday, July 17, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 7 to 11
Cost: $150 per camper

About the Program: This camp provides all the skills needed to become a great angler. Bank fishing, fishing from a boat, seining and fish dissection will be some of the activities. Join us for this “fishin’ is my mission” camp!


Wings and Things

Session:
Monday, July 20, 2015 to Friday, July 24, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 6 to 10
Cost: $150 per camper

About the Program: Discover insects, birds, and bats that live around our pond. Enjoy sweep netting, bird watching, and building an animal home to take with you.


Trap Trackers

Session:
Monday, July 27, 2015 to Friday, July 31, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 12
Cost: $150 per camper

About the Program: A variety of plants, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and birds call our park home. Learn how to find, observe and study them. Hike to find tracks and traces of animals, make fish prints and dissect an owl pellet. Stay Friday evening for an optional family cookout and nature program.


Reptiles and Amphibians

Session:
Monday, August 03, 2015 to Friday, August 07, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 7 to 11
Cost: $150 per camper

About the Program: Learn which animals have scales, claws or slimy smooth skin. Observe live animals and learn about their habitats and how to help them survive. Enjoy themed crafts, games and outdoor exploration.


Experiments in the Environment

Session:
Monday, August 10, 2015 to Friday, August 14, 2015
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 12
Cost: $175 per camper

About the Program: Carry out experiments covering many different fields of science, including biology, chemistry, ecology and physics. On Friday, join us for a camp science fair and stay Friday evening for an optional family cookout.
