Creekin’ for Critters

Session:
Monday, June 13, 2016 to Friday, June 17, 2016
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – Noon
Ages: 4 to 6
Cost: $100 per camper

About the Program: We will spend lots of time in and near the creek looking for critters big and small. Our days may include puppet play, stories, crafts and outside play, with time to make new friends. Meet at the Nature Center.


Gnome Homes & Toad Abodes

Monday, June 20, 2016 to Friday, June 24, 2016
Camp Day: 9 a.m. - Noon
Ages: 4 to 6
Cost: $100 per camper

About the Program: Enjoy creative play making gnomes and their woodland homes. Camp includes lots of creek time, stories, crafts, outside play and a chance to build a home for toads. Meet at the Nature Center.


Wilderness Survival FULL!

Monday, June 20, 2016 to Friday, June 24, 2016
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 7 to 9
Cost: $215 per camper

About the Program: Do you have the skills to survive in the wild? Spend the week making shelters, wayfinding, filtering water and learning many things that will help you to survive in a wilderness setting. Make your own survival bracelet and hiking stick to use while exploring the wilderness or your local park. Nature Center and Robinson House


Caring for Critters: Pets and Wildlife FULL!

Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 5 to 7
Cost: $215 per camper

About the Program: Caring for animals can mean feeding or brushing your own pet or filling bird feeders and making habitat for wild animals. This camp will explore the differences between wild animals and pets and how we care for both. Lots of outdoor play near the creek, crafts and live animal guests will be a part of this camp. Working with Animals FULL!

Camp Day: 9 am – 4 pm
Ages: 8 to 11
Cost: $215 per camper

About the Program: If you ever wondered what it’s like to work on a farm or be a vet, this is the career camp for you! Explore ways people work with animals such as dogs, bats, goats and butterflies. This camp includes creek time, games, field trips, and an up-close encounter with live birds. Nature Center and Robinson House


Ultimate Games FULL!

Tuesday, July 05, 2016 to Friday, July 08, 2016
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 10
Cost: $155 per camper

About the Program: Put on your game face for these four days of games, relays, team building activities and exploring the creek. On Friday, we will travel to Lums Pond for the day to join in a friendly competition with the camps from Lums Pond and Brandywine Creek State Parks. White Clay is the reigning Tri-Park Champion, join our winning team! Must be able to swim (estimated travel time 30 minutes). Nature Center and Robinson House


Knights, Gnomes and Fairies in the White Clay Kingdom FULL!

About the Program: Explore the “kingdom” of the White Clay Valley making gnome or fairy homes and castles from natural materials. Bring your imagination to life in this fun-filled week of creek and forest exploration, games, crafts and more. Nature Center


Adventure Rangers FULL!

Monday, July 11, 2016 to Friday, July 15, 2016
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 9 to 12
Cost: $215 per camper

About the Program: Challenge yourself to tackle the tasks of a park ranger in this camp about adventures and conservation in the parks. Includes an exciting adventure on a rescue boat, travel to Lums Pond for kayaking and learning how to track animals in the park. Must be able to swim (estimated travel time 30 minutes). Stream Splashers FULL!

Cost: $100 per camper

About the Program: There is nothing like a good splash in the creek this summer. Lots of water play, plenty of creek time and maybe puppet play, stories, crafts and outside play, all while making new friends. Meet at the Nature Center.


Stream Explorers: Mines and Minerals FULL!

Monday, July 18, 2016 to Friday, July 22, 2016
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 7 to 9
Cost: $195 per camper

About the Program: Are you familiar with things like obsidian and mycelium in the virtual world? How great would it be to see and touch the real thing in the natural world? Explore the “biomes” of White Clay Creek and have hands-on fun constructing, experimenting and playing with minerals, water and more. Nature Center and Robinson House


Outdoor Adventure Skills FULL!

Monday, July 25, 2016 to Friday, July 29, 2016
Camp Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ages: 11 to 14
Cost: $225 per camper

About the Program: Challenge yourself on land and water as we climb rocks at Alapocas Run, kayak at Lums Pond and mountain bike at White Clay. We will finish the week with a bike ride to a cool spot in town. Campers must bring a properly fitted CPSC-approved helmet. Must be able to swim (estimated travel time 1 hour). Stream Explorers: Pirates Treasures FULL!

About the Program: Argh you ready for a pirate week? Spend a week at the creek searching for treasure, panning for gems in the creek and meeting new friends, all while learning about the incredible treasures that make up our natural world. Nature Center


Fantastic Frogs and Feathers FULL!

About the Program: Campers get ready to use nets to search for frogs, dig for treasure along the creek, learn about our feathered friends and make frog crafts in this one-of-a-kind camp. Campers will get to see a live bird show. Nature Center

About the Program: Try a little bit of everything in this fun-filled camp. Kids will go tubing, explore the woods, pan for creek gems, make nature gnomes, play games, go fishing, use their imaginations to create amazing art and see a live bird show. Must be able to swim. About the Program: Sometimes things in nature are more beautiful than anything bought from a store. Use supplies from the natural world like clay, leaves and vines to make beautiful creations of all shapes and sizes. Of course we’ll also spend plenty of time playing and exploring the creek. White Clay Creek (WCC) Survivor FULL!

About the Program: Camp WCC Survivor combines the challenge of survival with the spirit of competition. Make your own raft, and get first-hand experience in wilderness survival, boating, fishing, outdoor cooking and much more. Teamwork and leadership are the keys to surviving this week. Wet and Wild in the Parks FULL!

About the Program: Spend the week getting wet in the creek and the ponds nearby. Then we’ll go a little wild with tubing, exploring, games and kayaking. Must be able to swim and be ready for fun! Nature Center and Robinson House
