Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payment is due in full at time of registration for Zoo Camp.

A $25 fee will be charged for all cancellations up to April 30th.
Half refund for cancellations after May 1st; No refunds after June 1st.

Full Day Camps:
8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
(drop off from 8 to 8:30 a.m.)
After care is available Monday through Thursday only, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for $40/week or $20/day.

Mini Day Camps:
Campers must be potty-trained in order to attend. This means that campers must be able to use the restroom on their own.

Morning Session: 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
(drop off 8 to 8:30 a.m.)
Afternoon Session: 1 – 4 p.m.
(drop off 12:30 to 1 p.m.)
Aftercare is available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday AND 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; no aftercare available from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays for $40/week or $20/day.

Between-session care is offered FREE from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. only to those that register for both morning and afternoon sessions of mini day camps!

First FUN Friday

Ages: 4 to 9
Cost: $45 Special Rate: $35 for Delaware Zoological Society (DZS) Members
After care: 4 – 5:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday only, $40/week or $20/day per camper

About the Program: Start summer vacation right by exploring the zoo, meeting animals up close, playing games, creating crafts and more.


Creature Classes

Session:
Monday, June 16, 2014 to Friday, June 20, 2014

Ages: 6 to 9
Cost: $200/$175 DZS
After care: 4 – 5:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday only, $40/week or $20/day per camper

About the Program: There’s no school going on at the zoo this summer but there is class. Discover different classes of vertebrates and how you can tell them apart.


WILD Artists

Session:

Cost: $200/$175 DZS

About the Program: Learn about beautiful shapes, patterns, colors and shades that occur naturally. Follow up by creating masterpieces of your own.


Dog Days of Summer

Session:
Monday, June 30, 2014 to Thursday, July 03, 2014
Camp Day: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Drop off from 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Ages: 4 to 13
Cost: $55/day or $200/week/$45/day or $175/week DZS
After care: 4 – 5:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday only, $40/week or $20/day per camper

About the Program: No camp July 4. Beat the heat learning about cool canines at the zoo. Learn responsible pet care and explore different canine groups of the domestic and exotic kind.


Animal Edibles

Session:
Monday, July 07, 2014 to Friday, July 11, 2014
Camp Day: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Drop off from 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Ages: 6 to 9
Cost: $200/$175 DZS

About the Program: Some animals eat plants, some eat meat and some eat a little of both. Take a culinary journey into the animal kingdom and learn what’s on the menu.


Wild Animal Adaptations

Session:

Animal Rescuers

Jr. Zoo Keepers

About the Program: Learn to care for animals and what the zoo staff does daily. Go behind the scenes, help prepare animal diets, clean an exhibit area, study animal behavior, create enrichment and more. Campers must be able to complete physically challenging activities with

About the Program: This is a week about the adventures of animals with or without tails. We will read and discuss animal tales, then immerse ourselves in the stories’ themes.
