Details:
Positions available in Auburn Heights, Brandywine Creek, White Clay Creek, Lums Pond, Fort Delaware
Summer employment position for young people aged 16 – 20 years of age with Delaware State Parks in partnership with the New Castle County Summer Youth Employment Program
All of these positions are seasonal positions working 28 hours per week June 19 – August 11
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be 16 – 20 years of age
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends
• Must be able to attend orientation with the New Castle County Summer Youth Employment Program
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to perform hard physical outdoor work in various conditions
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work alone with little direct supervision and as part of a team
• Appreciation and understanding of natural, cultural, historical resources/parks and recreation
• Ability to learn and apply program rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Independent and responsible
• Ability to transport self to worksite every day scheduled
BENEFITS:
• Working outdoors!
• Hourly wage of $10.10 for a maximum of 28 hours per week
• As a seasonal position, no other benefits are provided
• Direct deposit of paychecks will be required as a condition of employment
Non-standard benefits include:
