Also woven into this tapestry are several self-compositions along with classic rock and other favorites. We can be described as a roots blues rock band, and have bandwidth in our diverse song catalog.

Second Chances Blues was formed after a quarter century of playing in cover bands- returning to the Blues, R&B, and Classic Soul. Having found several kindred spirits in their performing past, they set out to a recording studio with little hope of creating nothing more than a disc to play for our respective families. As luck would have it, retirement was postponed in favor of continued weekly bookings! The moral of the story? DO WHAT YOU LOVE – YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!

Established in 2018, Bryan Scar created the trio 'Bryan & The Barn Owls' to further promote/bolden his sound. The Barn Owls name was chosen because Bryan believed when one thinks of barns, they think of rustic Americana & when one thinks of Owls, they think of nocturnal creatures thriving in the night. In that logic, Barn Owls seemed to incapsulate the vision! Since 2018 'Bryan & The Barn Owls' have performed in various venues including: The Mar-va Theatre, The Delmarva Folk Festival, Wicomico County Fair, Dickens Parlor Theater, & 1st Beach Festival.

Take two accomplished musicians from different continents with different musical backgrounds, put them in the same room and listen to what happens. Maryland native George Harvey and Bavarian transplant Ossi Becke are two such musicians. As a percussionist, Ossi has played just about every style of music imaginable – from traditional German “Beer Barrel” Polka music to American folk/rock. George holds down the melodic end of things on guitar, piano and vocals. Heavily rooted in rock and country music with a healthy dose of Americana thrown in, he moves easily from style to style. For the past 22 years or so, the duo has been delighting audiences in the Mid-Atlantic region with their driving original songs and uniquely arranged classics.
Joe Esham is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the eastern shore of Maryland. After many years of playing in bands, he decided to bring his solo artist career to life. Now with his Weissenborn Slide Guitar across his lap, Joe brings his own soulful blend of Americana, Reggae, and Funky Blues to the music scene. Putting his own spin on his favorite classics and performing his own original music.
