Bellevue State Park - John Flynn - (Singer/Songwriter family fun) at 6:30 PM

John Flynn is an American singer-songwriter and activist known for his powerful music and tireless efforts on behalf of the lost and the lonely, the shackled and scarred. His career has embodied an authentic troubadour odyssey that moved legendary folk DJ Gene Shay to call Flynn "the most quintessential folk singer in my life", and Deana McCloud, Executive Director of the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma to write, "John Flynn is the real deal. His work follows in the footsteps of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Kris Kristofferson, and other social justice troubadours as he speaks the truth and gives a voice to society's disenfranchised. His work fills your heart and opens your eyes as he continues to walk the walk of a true advocate for equality, justice, and peace.” In 2019, John, along with Stevie Wonder, was a co-recipient of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers' Champion of Justice / Humanitarian Award.

Bellevue State Park - Flatland Drive - (Traditional Bluegrass) at 6:30 PM

Flatland Drive began, not as a joke, but as a serious effort to blend traditional, hard-driving bluegrass with modern stylings, on April Fool's Day in 2009. The members of the band hail from either Caroline County, Maryland or Kent County, Delaware, and their proximity is alarmingly close. In their time together, the band has shared the stage with the likes of bluegrass giants such as The Seldom Scene, The Lonesome River Band, Dailey and Vincent, The Boxcars, and many other stellar bands in the world of bluegrass. They have worked very hard to write, find, and sharpen a wide array of material that showcases the instrumental prowess of their players and the respected harmonic talents of their vocalists. From multi-day weekend bluegrass festivals to intimate, yet down-to-earth weddings and everything else in-between, Flatland Drive is available to bring its talents and musical repertoire to nearly any occasion. The band hopes to see you in its musical journey sometime or many times throughout this year's playing season.

Bellevue State Park - Seven Rings - (Irish Pub Songs, Tune & Ballads) at 6:30 PM

Seven Rings formed in 2008 following the seasonal St. Patrick's Day band that was put together for three years in a row by Pete Casey to help preserve his voice while gigging heavily between March 13th and 20th. After March 2008, we decided there was a niche for an Irish band that had a heavy dose of classic rock influence along with a little (very little!) county and bluegrass thrown in for good measure. Since March 2008, we've moved from playing pretty straight-forward arrangements of Irish pub songs to a more diverse set list that includes classic rock standards from Neil Young and the Stones to STP and U2. All the songs are arranged for acoustic instruments (mostly), though we have done a couple gigs with electric guitars and bass.

Trap Pond State Park - Flatland Drive - (Bluegrass) at 6:30 PM

Wilmington State Parks - ILYAimy - (Percussive, acoustic grunge) at 6:30 PM

They engage audiences with humor and award-winning narrative songs that pair an unforgettably soulful and powerful female vocalist with a percussive, clawhammer-like guitarist. Their infectious energy and rapid-fire lyricism is softened with cello and lush harmony, making ilyAIMY “a welcome jolt” and “an acoustically roiling, combustible attack on the usual singer/songwriter fare,” say reviewers.

Wilmington State Parks - Howl Train - (Country) at 6:30 PM

They’re a band that promises nothing less than a rowdy, unbridled, and altogether good time that'll leave the soles of your feet singing a tune of their own. Featuring a thunderous double-bass slapping alongside, soulful lead guitar, a freight-train rhythm, and a howling lead vocal. This musical arrangement might best be described as a rootsy amalgam of folk, country, blues and whiskey.

Bellevue State Park - Newspaper Taxis - (Beatles Tribute Band) at 6:00 PM

Long before the psychedelic sounds of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, or the detailed arrangements of Abbey Road, The Beatles were a young rock-and-roll act wowing crowds night after night. Before Beatlemania came to America, it was at these small club shows in England and Germany where these Liverpool lads mastered their art in an exciting live setting, making audiences fall in love with their songs instantly. In this spirit, the Newspaper Taxis perform every show with that same energy, along with top-notch musicianship for anyone who shares that same love for The Beatles. This band provides a Fab Four experience unlike any other, performing a wide selection of songs from across the entire Beatles universe. The Newspaper Taxis recreate the original compositions with a unique and dynamic energy, playing homage to the Beatles' artful compositions and legendary performances. Donning the symbolic suit-and-tie look of the British Invasion era, these four musicians share their love for The Beatles without wigs, costume changes, or backing tracks. Instead, they focus on providing music fans of all ages an exhilarating live performance that they will never forget. The Newspaper Taxis bring the joy and excitement of The Beatles to concert halls, bars, private parties, weddings, birthdays, festivals, community events, casinos, businesses, corporate functions, and just about anywhere in and around the Philadelphia area.
