Alapocas Run State Park - Rock and Rappel Climbing Camp - FULL

For ages 13 to 15

July 15 - July 19, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Challenge your mental and physical skills while exploring the world of rock climbing. Campers will discover the basics of top rope climbing, belaying and rappelling in addition to Go Ape and kayaking at Lums Pond State Park. Climbing equipment is provided.

Bellevue State Park - Water Wonders - FULL

For ages 7 to 10

July 15 - July 19, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Water is important, and also lots of fun! Come explore the science of water at Bellevue. Play water games, do water science experiments, fish or dip net on the pond, and find all the ways to enjoy water in your local park! We will also take a trip to one of our neighbor state parks to explore a big creek ecosystem! Campers must be able to swim.

Bellevue State Park - Time Travelers

For ages 12 to 14

July 15 - July 19, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Travel back in time through Delaware history. Investigate the lives of Delawareans of the past and explore the sites and artifacts that they left behind. We will start in the 1930s at Bellevue and work our way back through time while visiting other parks and local historical sites. Each day will be a new adventure!

Brandywine Creek State Park - Water Adventures - FULL

For ages 8 to 10

Cool off this week as we explore the creek, the marsh, and ponds around our park! Learn about the science of water with fun activities, games, and experiments. Play water games, fish and hike in the creek, and relax on the Brandywine! Campers must be able to swim.

Brandywine Zoo State Park - Wildlife Mythbusters (Week 1) - FULL

For ages 6 to 7

Do you love science? Well this is the camp for you! We will be doing some fun science experiments, even some that will take us onto the pond with some boating adventures! Camp will take a walk to the waterpark to splash around on Wednesday. Includes boating, campers must be able to swim.

Lums Pond State Park - Jr. Naturalist - FULL

For ages 6 to 9

July 15 - July 19, 8:30a.m - 3:30p.m

From tiny insects to large birds, campers will be able to explore various habitats in search of animals that call the park home! From dip netting to exploring the pond by paddleboat, and even creating your own habitat, campers will become a certified Lums Pond junior naturalist by the end of the week! Includes water activities such as boating; campers must be able to swim.

Trap Pond State Park - Fishing Frenzy Week 2 - FULL

For ages 9 to 12

July 15 - July 19, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Become an experienced angler during this Fishing Frenzy camp! Learn the various bait types, fish species and knots needed to become excellent at fishing as we fish from the bank, docks and pontoon boat. A fishing tournament will be held at the end of the week to show off new skills. This is the same camp as Fishing Frenzy Week 1 but for an older age group. Campers must be able to swim.

White Clay Creek State Park - Knights, Gnomes and Fairies of the White Clay Kingdom - FULL

For ages 6 to 8

Explore the kingdom of the White Clay Valley during this week of crafting fairy homes and castles and many other themed crafts and games. Visitors to camp may include our Natural Resource “Knights” and Naturalist Forest “Fairy”.

White Clay Creek State Park - Adventure Rangers - FULL

For ages 9 to 11

Park Rangers have an exciting and important job protecting and conserving the natural resources in our park. Spend the week learning the role of these conservation specialists. Featuring the exciting “Ranger Relay,” meet park enforcement officers and a K-9, kayak at Lums Pond, learn about wildlife tracking, and spend time in the creek. This camp will travel to Lums Pond State Park for kayaking. Campers must be able to swim.

Bellevue State Park - Young Explorers: Exploring our Senses - FULL

Trap Pond State Park - Advanced Fishing

For ages 11 to 14

This camp is for more experienced anglers, teaching alternate techniques including fly fishing. We will also hand-make our own lures, rigs and other fishing equipment. Campers must be able to swim.

For ages 4 to 6

There's nothing like a good splash in the creek during the summer! Campers will enjoy a week full of creek play, making and floating their own boats, animal crafts, and enjoying what nature has to offer with their new friends.

White Clay Creek State Park - Single Track Shredders - FULL

For ages 12 to 15

July 22 - July 26, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

This camp is specifically designed for experienced bikers with six or more miles of all-terrain experience. Join other avid young bikers from the region for a week-long mountain biking experience. The week includes rides all around at White Clay Creek and Middle Run trails. Bike repair, riding techniques and coolin’ off in the creek are all part of this camp. Campers should bring their own mountain bike (bikes are available to borrow) and a properly fitted CPSC-approved helmet, bike gloves, and be able to swim.

For ages 12 to 14

Become a master of navigating nature as we hike and explore our park, and visit some of the other parks in our area. Develop your map and compass skills through hiking and orienteering. Get familiar with the local wildlife on bird walks. Study our aquatic ecosystems through fishing and dip netting. Do citizen science and much more!

Brandywine Creek State Park - Naturalist Adventures

For ages 9 to 12

July 29 - August 2, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

What does a park naturalist do? Just like a naturalist, you'll learn how to identify plants and animals in the park, go blue bird monitoring, orienteer through the park, and meet Cornelius the corn snake. Throughout the week we will draw, write, and record all our findings in a nature journal! This camp also includes fun games and a tubing trip along the Brandywine. Campers must be able to swim and be comfortable in moving water.

Ever wonder what being a zookeeper really involves? Discover how our animals are cared for, practice your husbandry skills cleaning an animal habitat, prepare animal diets, create enrichment, and visit behind-the-scenes to see how the zoo really works! - This camp theme is also available another week. Both weeks will include the same activities/schedule. We do not allow campers to be signed up for the same theme twice. -- This camp will include hands-on activities or tours in behind-the-scenes areas that may involve dirty and smelly tasks that are often outside and in cramped spaces. Travel back in time this week with field trips to local history spots like Fort Delaware and explore the connection between nature and history.
