Introduction to Forest Bathing

Saturday, July 27, 2024

11:00 AM

This one-hour Introduction to Forest Bathing will be a condensed version of the longer 2 or 3 hour guided nature and forest therapy walks. The walk will provide a taste of the healing and wellness benefits of forest bathing. We will move slowly and cover a short distance, connecting to nature with an open heart and with our senses through a series of guided, sensory invitations. Research has shown that 'bathing in the environment of the forest' has many positive health benefits. The process of re-remembering and re-knowing our bodily connection to nature can lead to reduced stress, a decrease in blood pressure, a reduction in anxiety & depression and an increased feeling of comfort and calm. This program will be led by Jane M. Wandless, ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide. Space is limited, pre-registration is required. Call 302-284-4299 or email DNREC_KPSPNatureCenter@delaware.gov to register.
